A busy year-end for us Humans…
There were plenty of fireworks for HeyHuman throughout last November and December, with our people rocketing between events all over London…
It may have boasted Sir Alan Sugar as its opening speaker, but the crowds at
2015’s two-day Festival of Marketing, held in London’s Docklands, got all fired
up when our own Neil Davidson took to the stage! Arguing that ‘Generation Tinder’ is the modern mindset, Neil’s presentation posed the question: ‘How can brands get people to swipe right?’
Also towards the end of last year, Neil and Dan Machen, our Head of Innovation, were among those exploring the future of media at the Mindshare HUDDLE at Central Saint Giles. An event curated entirely by its participants, or ‘Huddlers’, it dispenses with the sales pitch in favour of genuine, participatory discussion. (PowerPoint is banned… and missed by precisely no-one.)
Next up it was Helen Weisinger’s turn, as The Drum had invited her to join a panel discussion, Repositioning and Evolving Your Agency to Win New Business, at its third annual Brief Encounters event. Held at the Congress Centre in the West End, this agency conference’s remit is all about creating the perfect pitch. With speakers from organisations and businesses as diverse as Macmillan Cancer Support, GSK and Honda UK, and marketers from fellow sparklers such as Havas, Immediate Future and Lucky Generals, it promised – and delivered
– a lot more oohs and ahhs in the run-up to Christmas.
